The third annual report, which reflects the result of a statewide survey of investors and other participants in Ohio’s ecosystem, provides a comprehensive look at venture investment that took place in 2015 and highlights the successes of Ohio’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As technology and healthcare continue to advance at rapid speed this report reflects how Ohio is once again emerging as a leader of innovation. Total VC investments in Ohio startups hit $373M in 2015, a 16% increase over 2014, and 167 startups received investment.Download the report
The second annual report shows an increase in seed and startup-stage funding, and reflects the progress made by the Ohio Third Frontier program. Over the previous three years the program has provided over $60 million to 17 organizations that make seed and startup investments, which was matched with funding from the private sector. In 2014, 210 companies received angel or venture funding totaling $321 million.Download the report
The 2013 Ohio VentureReport, the first statewide overview of venture investing in the state, is based on responses from 48 investors, 34 of which are Ohio-headquartered. Investors made 156 investments in 129 Ohio companies.
Ohio VentureReport 2013 shows that investors have $260 million in capital available for follow-on investments in existing companies and for new investments.Download the report
