The inaugural Social Impact Award recipient embodies the true meaning of the award. By day he is a Principal at AWH, a Columbus-based software development company, and by night, he gives back to the community in ways that are truly commendable.
He is the Director of Startup Grind Columbus and helped to open additional chapters of the Google Ventures-backed organization across the state. Over the past year, he led efforts to open i.c. Stars Columbus, a unique two-year program that provides an opportunity for low-income young adults to develop advanced technical and leadership skills while earning an associate degree. In 2016 he co-founded and helped to organize BLK hack, an organization dedicated to inspiring, educating and connecting black people to tech, business and entrepreneurship.
Beyond his role as an advisor at Rev1 Ventures and his work at AWH, Ryan is a mentor, inspiration and friend to Ohio entrepreneurs. Congratulations to Ryan Frederick!
