What is it?

The VentureOhio Gala is an annual event that brings together the top entrepreneurs, investors and thought leaders from across Ohio and beyond to celebrate the year’s success and inspire innovation in the years to come. Throughout the night you’ll get updates on investment activity in Ohio, hear about the state of venture capital nationwide from the National Venture Capital Association and see the top Ohio startups in 2016 recognized for their incredible work.

Who will be there?

The VentureOhio Gala is attended by the best and brightest of Ohio’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. The top venture capitalists, startups, accelerators and thought leaders in the state will gather to network, share stories, celebrate wins and spark new ideas.

We’re also excited to welcome special guest and speaker Bobby Franklin, President and CEO of the National Venture Capital Association. The NVCA is the voice of the U.S. venture capital community, empowering its members and the entrepreneurs they fund by advocating for policies that encourage innovation and reward long-term investment.

Why should I go?

Still need convincing? With the brightest people in the industry gathered under one roof, there’s no better chance to get connected with potential investors, customers and mentors than during this night of celebration. Don’t just take it from us; here’s why some of the top thought leaders in Ohio’s startup ecosystem are going to the VentureOhio Gala:

“The biggest benefit is the network. It’s easy to get lost in the daily grind and intensity of running a startup. When we come up for air, we share war stories with other #startupcincy founders, but rarely connect outside Cincinnati. This event is one of the few – if not the only – events that brings venture-backed startups from across Ohio together in one place for an evening of great conversation, great food, and a lot of fun.” – Ryan Watson, Co-founder & CEO of Ahalogy.

“At the VentureOhio Gala, I can simultaneously celebrate notable successes in the startup scene and make connections with the up-and-coming entrepreneurs driving innovation in the year to come. This event is invaluable for those trying to keep a pulse on the startup and venture activity happening in Ohio.” – Rich Langdale, VentureOhio President and Capital Committee Chair, Managing Partner of NCT Ventures.

“Having literally grown and grown up in the venture capital community in Ohio, this is the single event that provides continuity with the past, present and future of venture investing here for me.  It’s my chance to refresh my Ohio investment networks and meet with long time colleagues and co-investors who have helped build the industry in Ohio.” – John Rice, CincyTech USA Life Sciences Director and founder of Triathlon Ventures.
